Hansen IDPA Wins Big at State Championships! |

The 2012 Florida State IDPA Championship was held last weekend at the WAC in Clearwater, FL. This was the forth year the match was held there and ran by Dan Bernard and Charles Kibert. In the course of a weekend they run 300 shooters through 11 stages, feed them, water them, and raffle off excellent prizes. They and their crew did a fantastic job again this year. Hansen IDPA staffed three stages with Safety Officers, and designed and built stages. Our SO State match staff was John Barker, Carol Notestine, Mike Thompson, Toby Starr, Cassie Rice, Mark Di Donato, and Dave Jenkins.
Hansen IDPA had more competitors at the state match this year than ever before. 22 of our shooters competed and 11 placed or won their class divisions. IDPA recognizes the top 30% of shooters in a division class. Our winners where: Ted Brown, 1st ESP Expert; Adam Petrulis, 1st SSP Expert; Nick Lo Castro, 1st SSR Marksman; Daniel Kennedy, 2nd CDP Sharpshooter; Paul Khin 2nd CDP Marksman; Todd Everly, 3rd CDP Expert; Dave Jenkins, 3rd ESP Expert; Eric Nelson 3rd CDP Marksman; Toby Starr, 4th ESP Marksman; Glen Nickel, 11th ESP Marksman; Keith Melvin, 13th SSP Sharpshooter.
Be sure and congratulate the winners when you see them next at the range. Also, make sure to congratulate Ted Brown and Adam Petrulis for moving up in their respective divisions to Master Class!

Happy New Year!
Attached is the membership form for Fort Myers Practical Shooters and Naples Swamp Rompers. These are the clubs that pay for range equipment and the insurance that allows for all of the shooting sports, USPSA, IDPA, SSC, and SASS to hold matches at the Hansen range. If you join both clubs you get a discount on membership dues, and pay less each time you shoot at a weekend match. Please fill out a form and bring it, and payment, to your next match. Membership forms should be available at the range too.

Welcome to the new South West Florida Pistol Shooters Web-site! This new site will be an information portal for all of the shooting disciplines at the Hansen Range. Please create a login ID and password to complete the process. When you are finished you will have access to member’s only areas and will receive e-mails when scores are posted or new information is available, etc. Have a look around. Check out the calendar, the Hansen range matches are in RED. Open the results and files area to see recent match results. Let me know what you think. We will be adding more information and areas such as FAQ pages, a classifieds area, and maybe a forum.
